The Language Teacher teaches beginners to advanced level German for several periods during designated times in the day. A variety of backgrounds are represented and children vary in age and ability in the classroom. The Teacher is required to submit long-range plans, plan daily lessons and monitor students’ progress using effective techniques. Other duties involve assisting in creative, outdoor and sporting activities such as trekking, swimming, mountain biking, rock climbing, orienteering, arts and crafts, drama, dance, sailing, swimming, football and basketball. Additional responsibilities include supervising during meal times and excursions, participating in evening programmes and wake-up/lights-out duties.
Applicant must be a native speaker of German, hold a relevant teaching qualification to teach German as a foreign language and have proven teaching experience of a minimum of one year.
