A newer school, NEW STANDARD TRAINING CENTER, located in beautiful, temperate Liuzhou City, Guangxi, China is seeking top quality ESL teachers for several positions with immediate start dates. Liuzhou City is a small city by Chinese standards, only around 1.4 million population and is located on the Liu River surrounded by a beautiful rural countryside.
I am not a recruiter! I am the Director of Studies and Center Manager. The school is jointly owned by American/Chinese interests. I just happen to work for some really great Chinese educators and business people! The school is a 650 sq. meters state-of-the-art educational facility with modern computer lab and other benefits. The location makes it easy to get to from anyplace in town.
I am looking for teachers who are truly educators and want to TEACH. This may be the hardest job you will ever love!
KINDERGARTEN TEACHER: A top notch, experienced kindergarten teacher who can assist in building the best pre-school/kindergarten program in China. We would like our kindergarten graduates to read, write and speak Basic English at 1st grade level. Want a TEAM LEADER – a dreamer, a thinker, a doer! You need to be able to train Chinese national teaching staff and supervise department in a responsible manner.
ELEMENTARY / MIDDLE SCHOOL: Must have a good bag of tricks to keep kids interested who really do not want to be in school – their parents are making them! Full of energy and fun, with a desire to see students succeed beyond THEIR expectations!
High School / University: A serious, professional educator with strong ability to motivate students to strive for excellence. Complete English teacher NOT just “oral” English.
ADULT / CORPORATE TRAINER: Working with major companies, often on a remote factory site, teaching ESL and Business English.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. All teachers need “beyond” high school education. Should have a minimum of BA/BS degrees
2. Formal ESL training required – minimum 80 hour “on line” is acceptable.
3. MUST be a “native speaker”, preferably from USA, Canada, England, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. Those from other countries considered based on English ability and lack of any accent.
4. Older teachers who may have been turned down elsewhere are encouraged to apply.
BENEFITS:
1. SALARY: Salaries are based upon experience and the number of contact teaching hours you desire. Minimum salary is $3,000RMB per month for 15 contact teaching hours per week. This is more than twice the average regional salary for the Liuzhou area. There is very little “office” time – prep your lessons at the school or at home. OVERTIME IS PAID after 60 hours per month of contact teaching time. Salary is paid on the 10th of the following month.
2. Non-shared housing is furnished or, your choice, a housing allowance of $500RMB is paid directly to you.
3. The school is responsible for all permits, expert permits and licenses required.
4. Air Fare: one way on 6 month contract, round trip after completing a year.
5. Vacation time: Two weeks fully paid on one year contract (this is in addition to National Holidays)
6. Bonus… There will be a bonus system… just have not yet established HOW and HOW MUCH.
This school subscribes to a professional dress code which is unusual in China. You only have one chance to make a first impression and as a “foreign expert” you are a professional and we wish everyone to know this. The school “uniform” for teachers is: Navy Blue Blazer, black or grey slacks/skirts, white shirt/blouse, polished black shoes and school tie. Tie comes off when temps hit 100F! Kindergarten teacher’s uniform may be modified due to demands of work.
