General Working Conditions Compensation * 2.1 to 2.7 million KRW * Converting to US currency, it is generally between $2,100 and $2,700 US, applying recent (February 2010) foreign exchange rate. Housing * Fully or Partially Furnished Single apartment * Management fee (about $50 US per month) will be the resident’s responsibility. Round Trip Air Fare * Round trip Airfare to and from the country of working will be provided by the employer. * E-ticket will be sent to come to Korea. * After successful completion of 1year contract, return ticket will be provided. Vacation and severance pay * After successful completion of 1 year contract, severance pay as much as one month salary will be rewarded. * 10 days of paid vacation excluding national holidays. * 25 to 30 weekly working hours * Extra overtime payment Other benefits * 50% of medical insurance reimbursement * 50% of dental coverage * Settlement bonus (only applicable to public schools) Requirements Bachelor’s degree * 3 years or longer post-secondary education in recognized university where English is major language of instruction. Native English speaker * Canada, USA, England, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. No criminal record * Submission of Criminal Record Check is required to get a VISA from the Korean Government. No illegal drug using experience * Doping test will be conducted for Alien registration Card in Korea. * In any case the subject is proved to be positive in any illegal substance test, rejection of alien registration will result. Preference are given to the candidates with the following * Bachelor’s degree with education major or higher degree holder. * Prior teaching experience in ESL school setting in the country where English is spoken. * The compensation will be settled based upon the experience and education level. * Flexibility in locations
