Details: EYFS / KS1 Teacher
We are seeking to appoint a qualified EYFS / Key Stage 1 teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be required to teach a EYFS / Key Stage 1 class with full responsibility for their general classroom education and pastoral well-being. At RBS we follow the National Curriculum for England, adapting to suit our location and our diverse pupil body and language development. We expect our children to be confident enquirers by the time they leave our school. The successful candidate will need to be positive, enthusiastic and creative in their approach.
Candidates must have British qualifications. They are expected to hold a Bachelor’s degree and a recognised teaching qualification. Prior experience in an international school setting is not essential, but desirable

Key Responsibilities
• Ensuring the creativity and high quality of teaching and learning of the class, assisted by a teaching assistant.
• Organising the work of the teaching assistant.
• Sharing responsibilities for curriculum development, display, performances, trips and organising some aspects of special events.
• Fostering a caring atmosphere and showing commitment to the well-being and social and academic progress of each pupil.
• Acting in accordance with relevant legislation in Egypt, as well as UK guidelines, particularly with regards to educational provision, health and safety initiatives and safeguarding and ensure that all students and staff maintain these standards.
Successful applicants will have:
• Applicants must have a certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent
• Experience teaching within EYFS or KS1
• A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning
• At least 1 years’ experience of teaching the National Curriculum for England
• National Curriculum 2014 subject knowledge, including synthetic phonics
• Knowledge of the Cambridge curriculum
• Passion for, a language-rich curriculum,
• Clear understanding of and appreciation for the effective use of formal formative and summative assessment methods and progress data
• Excellent organisation, commitment and work ethic
• High academic expectations and the ability to effectively differentiate to meet all needs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Determination and ability to supply the best possible educational experience to each child
• An understanding of the high professional and personal expectations working for an independent style school abroad requires.
• Willingness, flexibility and the commitment associated with working with a new school.
