Details: The English Department at South East European University invites native English language speakers to apply for one full-time English Language Instructor position commencing February 2011. This position is open to candidates who meet the criteria and who hold an MA and/or Ph.D in a relevant discipline. Holders of a Ph.D will be appointed at the Visiting Professor level. Holders of an MA will be appointed at the Visiting Lecturer level.
The teaching load per week for classes in the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes is between 12-18 hours over four-five days. Visiting Professors (staff with a Ph.D) teach up to 12 hours per week. Visiting Lecturers (staff with a MA) teach from 14-18 hours per week. Candidates will be expected to teach on the English Department’s Masters programme in ELT. Courses offered include Computer Assisted Language Learning, Second Language Acquisition, Teaching Vocabulary, English for Specific Purposes and Pedagogical Writing.
