-We are currently seeking qualified and experienced teachers with Bachelor’s Degrees
who are able to commence work November 23rd 2015 and January 13th, 2016.
-You will be teaching reading and literacy skills to children between the ages of 2.5 and
13 using the specially-developed “I Can Read” System. Full training is provided to all
teachers.

I Can Read is a large literacy-based learning organisation with centres in nine different
countries. We are currently seeking appropriately qualified and experienced teachers to
fill vacancies in our Singapore centres.
-Teachers must be degree-qualified native speakers of the English language and
passport holders of Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Canada, Ireland, Singapore or
the U.S.A. NO OTHER COUNTRIES WILL BE CONSIDERED.
-The position involves teaching reading, writing and comprehension skills to children
using the specially-developed “I Can Read” System. More information on our teaching

Qualifications:
-Applicants must hold degree-level qualifications in Teaching/Education/Early Childhood
Studies/Psychology/Sociology/Communication or other relevant field.
-All applicants must be native speakers of the English language and passport holders of
Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Canada, Ireland, Singapore or the U.S.A. NO
OTHER COUNTRIES WILL BE CONSIDERED.
-All applicants must have a clear and universally understandable accent.

Benefits:
-$SGD 3,500 salary per month
-$SGD 1,000 housing allowance per month ($SGD 500 during 90 day probation period)
-Two consecutive weekdays off; all teachers are required to work on Saturdays and
Sundays as these are our busiest days. Days off are set and will not change from week
to week.
-33 teaching hours per week
-8 students maximum per class
-Employment Pass provided by company
-Complimentary airport pickup
-Initial 28 days in Singapore at company condo (one time charge of $SGD 500 for use of
the company condo which will be deducted from 1st or 2nd paycheck)
-7 days of full training in the “I Can Read” System and its methods. Teachers will be paid
a flat rate of $SGD 500 for participating in this training and will be certified to use the “I
Can Read” System.
-Very little lesson planning/preparation time is needed due to the nature of the “I Can
Read” System.

professional satisfaction through seeing the literacy skills of their students develop at
such a rapid rate.
BONUS (upon completion of 2 year contract):
-Airfare reimbursement up to $SGD 1,500
-$SGD 7,000 bonus payment
