The Department
The Sales Marketing & Admissions department is the first point of contact for new

General responsibilities and duties
a. To assist the Branch manager with all matters relating to student admissions to the
main school
b. To maintain the admissions database, ensuring that enquiries are handled
effectively and tracked right through to admission, including the production of up-to-date
weekly status reports
c. To plan and organise all visits by prospective parents, including staff liaison and all
matters relating to student tours.
d. To be well informed about the School’s academic and extra-curricular offer and the
working of the School
e. To process the applications for Pre-School.
f. To print itineraries for visiting families and prepare a visitor bag with the appropriate
information.
g. To be responsible for all routine correspondence, including the drafting of letters to
be sent by the Headmistress.
h. To understand and communicate the School’s ethos and approach in all
communications and interactions with prospective parents and students.
Administrative responsibilities and duties
a. Undertake administrative and clerical duties in support of the branch manager
b. To produce regular weekly reports concerning applicants and numbers.
c. To record and update information on the admissions system.
d. To be the contact for enquiries concerning admissions.
e. To send prospectuses.
f. To supply application forms, acceptance forms, etc to prospective pupils.
g. To contact “feeder” schools for pupil references.
h. To send offer letters to pupils following assessment and corresponding letters to
schools.
i. To deal with routine requests from new pupils prior to entry.
j. To respond to enquiries with appropriate letters and telephone calls.
k. To create files for new pupils and pass to the School Secretary when the admissions
process has been completed.
