A private elementary school in Tieling is looking to hire a foreign English teacher who hails from a country where English is spoken as a native or official language. The school is currently only hiring from within China due to the Coronavirus restrictions.
About the School
The school was founded in 2012 and is owned and run by an Irishman. The school is also fully licensed by SAFEA(State administration of foreign expert affairs) and has the authority to hire teachers on legal z work visas.
The teacher will instruct students between the ages of 4 and 12 years old.
The students are very respectful to teachers and behavioral issues are minimal. The foreign instructor will have a Chinese assistant teacher to deal with misunderstandings and classroom management.
The assistant will also help with correcting tests, homework, monitoring students and organizing activities. Students usually attend the academy for 2 to 3 hours per week of English instruction. The school is currently conducting classes online and will resume classes in the physical classroom in the coming weeks. Tieling boasts a low cost of living as one can save 80% of salary quite easily. Utility bills cost next to nothing.
The biggest issues expats have is opening a bank account, getting a mobile phone, registering for utilities, and finding one’s way around. All of these issues will be resolved with the help of the school owners.
