Teach at a Top-Ranked High School in the U.S.
United States of America (Miami, Florida)

Teach at a Top-Ranked High School in the U.S.
United States of America (Miami, Florida)

Fields of Expertise: High School , University ,
Details: Archimedean Upper Conservatory, consistently ranked as one of the most rigorous and best high
schools in the United States, is currently seeking inspiring high school teachers to lead courses
at the Honors & A.P. level in:
*ENGLISH LANGUAGE & COMPOSITION
*WORLD HISTORY
*SCIENCE/ROBOTICS
WHO ARE WE?
Archimedean is a bilingual high school committed to kindling the art of thinking and intellectual
growth. As such, students are provided a well-rounded, thorough education through the careful
selection of rigorous and advanced coursework in mathematics, science, philosophy, social
science, English, and Greek, complemented by enriching electives and extracurricular
experiences.
Archimedean Upper Conservatory has a demanding college preparatory curriculum ranked
among the top in the U.S.. The school is considered one of the very top in Florida. Setting high
expectations is a must at A.U.C., which was ranked as the 30th Most Challenging in the nation
out of over twenty-thousand schools by to The Washington Post (2017) and as the 47th Best
High School in the country according to U.S. News & World Report (2018).
A.U.C. is a school filled with motivated and ambitious faculty members, who love teaching, value
living in a vibrant, lively, dynamic, multicultural city like Miami, Florida, and take pride in helping
students open doors that normally would be shut so that they can dream of a brighter and more
fulfilling future.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We know the success of students in the demanding academic program of the Upper
Conservatory is based on a team of highly-qualified and dedicated educators, who not only wish
to be part of a uniquely supportive, friendly, caring school family, but who also feel a genuine
calling to open doors of opportunity for students and, in doing so, change these childrens’ futures
forever!
Considering students enroll in Honors, Advanced Placement, and additional high-level courses
not normally offered at this level, we seek only the most motivated and committed teachers, who
believe in mutual cooperation, but are also happy to take charge in their classroom and make it a
wonderful learning environment.
Teachers are thus hand-selected for both their educational achievements and dedication as well
as their life experience and backgrounds that bring new ideas and outlooks into the classroom to
enrich the lives of our students.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE NECESSARY?
While a bachelor’s degree in the area of instruction is required, a graduate degree is desirable,
though not necessary. A degree in Education specifically is not required either.
We are looking, however, for individuals who have strong backgrounds in their respective
academic fields.
We will help individuals new to the art of teaching itself receive the mentorship and professional
development they need to master the skills of being a productive classroom instructor. A positive
attitude and a willingness to learn is necessary.
We also work with individuals on the steps needed to obtain their Florida teacher certification if
they do not already possess this documentation.
Passion and knowledge in the field of interest, and a strong desire to work enthusiastically with
teenagers, is what we are looking for and are especially interested in first and foremost.
Teachers are expected to be active in all aspects of the operations of the school: sponsoring
extracurricular clubs and activities, designing eye-opening field trips, and heading optional
academic interventions to guarantee top-level performances in academic competitions as well as
on all standardized and Advanced Placement examinations. We want teachers who want
students to learn both in and out of the classroom.
