Hello everyone,
I am a fifth year teacher of History and Geography in Australia.
Within the next three years, my parter will conclude his Phd and we hope to move overseas to Europe.
What post graduate studies would be advantageous for a teacher preparing to apply for work overseas?
Or, what might European educators view as strengths in the Australian system that I can focus on to make myself more employable in the competitive market of teaching overseas?
If you have any advice please reply in the thread.

Hi, I'm Australian and teach in multiple countries and continents while doing my graduate studies. I presently study Medicine in Europe. My previous degrees are a BA in Classical Studies, a BSc focussed on Microbiology and I've just completed my MSc in Classical Archaeology in Europe. In my experience, no academic discipline is treated as being more impressive than another for obtaining teaching work in Europe. For ESL work, all are equal. I'm about to give lectures on archaeology and ancient history for an archaeological society and for that, my qualifications as an archaeologist (or at least my related degrees) are important.
