Job Summary
Working Week
A standard week is 45-hour per week, 25 of these hours will be contact teaching hours.
The rest of your hours will be admin hours to prepare lesson plans, marking, examination
preparation and other administrative duties as required.
Typical Schedule
2:00pm to 9:00pm (classes are from 3:00pm to 9:00pm) or from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Teaching hours will be based on your teaching location, which will either be on-site at one of
London Training Institutes Centres or at one of our external commercial locations (within 100km) of
the institute’s head office.
Duties
- Delivery of General English Lesson using Headway or Speakout.
- Preparation and delivery of ESP (English for Specific Purposes) Courses.
- Delivery of IELTS Courses and IELTS Practice Exams.
- Lesson planning and development of class related materials.
- Administration of tests, exams and assessments.
- Provision of student feedback both verbally and written
- Completion of student reports
- Attendance at student graduation ceremonies
- Other related administrative duties as required for the job
Qualification
Based on the qualification criteria set by the Ministry of Manpower here in Oman, candidates
MUST have the following educational qualification;
- A Master’s Degree in TESOL/Applied Linguistics
or
- A BA in English, Education or TESOL and a certificate in CELTA, DELTA or a ESL related
Teaching Certification.
Previous IELTS Training experience would be highly desirable although training will be provided.
There will also be an opportunity for teachers to train to become IELTS Examiners once their
probationary period has been completed.
Personal Specification
- Applicants MUST be a Native English Speaker, with three years plus English language
teaching experience with adults and/or young adult learners.
- Due to visa stipulations teachers must be between the ages of 25 – 59 years of age

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey information accurately, clearly and
as intended to the learner.

IELTS staff and administrative staff as well as the ability to work effectively as an individual.

Teaching Position We Are Recruiting For
- Short-Term Contracts teaching General English, ESP and/or IELTS to external clients.
These contracts vary in length depending on the client’s requirements. Some run for two –
three months, whilst other contracts can last as long as six months or a year. Contracts are
subject to availability and teaching requirements.
These contracts will be based at locations throughout Oman
- Long-Term Contract teaching General English, ESP and/or IELTS to external clients with
external clients and centre based customers.
Location: Muscat, Sohar and Sur.

Ⅲ. Job Description for HS A-Level Psychology Teacher
- Plan and teach lessons following A-level, AP or school-designed curricula that differentiate for individual student needs
- Use a wide range of technologies and creative teaching styles.
- Plan with colleagues to deliver effective team teaching when possible.
- Develop assessment tasks following the guidelines and use a wide range of formative assessment tools.
- Supervise extended essays.
- Attend regular curriculum planning and student progress meetings.
- Work closely with the Coordinator to develop concurrency of learning across the senior high.
- Demonstrate a genuine, active interest in on-going professional development, including through participation in professional learning groups in the school, and contribute to Professional Development Programme by sharing recent research or teaching experience.
- Keep up-to-date records of attendance, curriculum, assessment tasks and assessment data.
- Prepare student reports and references, and other reports as required.
- Keep parents informed about student progress.

Ⅲ. Job Description for HS Computer teacher
