Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
2. Paid winter and summer vacations

Details: American Language Center (ALC) in Yemen is a fun and friendly private establishment that offers short (5 week) courses in English language instruction. Our students are aged 13 to adult and are either sponsored by various organizations or are private students. With native English speakers from Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the USA and local Yemeni teachers, ALC is becoming the most popular and successful English language school in the port city of Aden. We are looking to add another native English-speaking teacher to our staff. Heres a basic contract:
Job: English teacher
Starting date: April 28th, 2007
Requirements: Degree + TESOL or equivalent certification, experience preferred
Place of work: Aden, Republic of Yemen
Contract duration: 6 months or 12 months
Working hours: Full-time (6 hours per day) weekdays. Mornings and/or afternoons depending on class schedule; weekends off
Session duration: 5 weeks (week-long unpaid break follows each session)
Salary (minimum and tax-free): U.S. $700.00 per session (if we pay for your airfare) OR U.S. 900.00 per session (If you pay for your own airfare) the cost of living here is very low.
ALC pays for your entry visa, work permit, shared accommodation and (if you take U.S. 700.00 per session salary) your airfare to and from your country of origin. Optional overtime, free field trips and free Arabic classes are also on offer.
