Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
2. Paid winter and summer vacations

Details: 1. IICA - Instituto de Intercambios e Cultura Americana, a language educational Brazilian organization, non-profit, non-government, founded in 1965, and its 298 English language partner-schools, offers an unique and legal opportunity for 6 or 12 months internship participating in a semi-volunteer ESL teachjing in Brazil. You must be open minded, outogoing with a positive outlook of life, interested in a teaching/learning experience, and able to help others to learn a foreign language - English.
3. This program is designed for professional and trainee- teachers looking for a cultural experience and meet Brazilian Culture in general, aged between 21-35 yrs old, male or female. The next intake month are February and March/2010 and applications deadline is Oct. 31.
4. The Program offers you a homestay free of costs, a financial aid for domestic flights in Brazil and a monthly allowance of R$ 760 REAIS ( US$ 400) for your personal stipends, but you must present a sponsor from your country able to support you in a financial aid of at least US$ 690,00 monthly for additional expenses. International flight transportation is on participants’ own expenses.
5. Placements are made at one of IICAs partner schools located in various cities. Program discourages you to apply if you are not flexible in accepting a placement in any part of Brazil or are looking for a well paid position.l A free Handbook with full details is available upon request, to interested candidates.
6. Once more it is good to stress that ETP/ESL is not a job offer, but a cultural language exchange program based in TFL/ESL and an opportunity for you to learning Portuguese and also to have a learning/teaching experience concerned on cultural background and studies on Brazil English teaching matters, especially on its educational way of life in general.
IICA will assist participants to get their legal working visas to Brazil.
7. At termination of Program a recognized Certificate will be awarded if a minimum of 70 credits are scored. You are welcome to Brazil and have a lifetime experience!
