Details: Residential Summer Courses (Full Board provided). Applicants should be native English
speakers. Experience teaching EFL abroad desirable but full support for newly qualified
applicants provided. Experience and skills outside EFL are valued. Preferential salaries
available for those with additional qualifications and experience in EFL. There are two
courses from 26th June to 23rd July and 25th July to 16th August 2009. Tutors may do
one or both. A basic of £975.00 for July and £810.00 for August plus increments for
qualifications and experience.
EFL tutors teach between 9.15am and 3.00pm, maximum 27 x 35-minute periods a
week. Class size maximum 12 students. Support from D o S, ADoS and senior tutor
available. Excellent resources provided. Specialist P.E., Outdoor Ed and Art teachers
are employed to run a full sports and recreation programme. EFL staff are asked to
contribute once a week to this programme. Staff will be allocated a single study bedroom
and will be responsible for the welfare of students (of the same gender) living in the
immediate vicinity. Thus tutors are expected to return to dormitory at 10.30pm to
oversee bedtime routine (a buddy system allows flexibility). Staff will be divided into four
duty teams to share supervision on campus and on excursions.

1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
