Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance

Details: Come teach English as a part of nationally sponsored program this June 17, 2010! Costa Rica English for Sustainable Tourism (CREST) emerged from President Oscar Arias’ initiative, Costa Rica Multilingüe, which seeks to improve the competitive environment of the country by increasing the number of English speakers in Costa Rica by 2017. CREST was established in 2009 with the enthusiasm of 5 volunteers, but its goal is to have more than 300 volunteers in the first five years. Our program grows with the commitment of volunteers worldwide and with the support of both national and international organizations.
Job description:
Volunteers will live with host families in rural communities for a period of 6 months or more, and will be responsible for 20 hours of class time and 20 hours of preparation. Our program is unique in that we serve the tourism sector where there is an immediate need for English acquisition. Our volunteers serve as teaching assistants in technical high-schools or as community teachers instructing professionals from the sustainable tourism sector.
Qualifications:

*Ability to teach with Limited resources
*Independence
*Willingness to adapt
*Proficient English speaker
*Organization and responsibility

Because we have received the sponsorship of various Costa Rican Institutions we have a low program cost of $1250 for 6 months and $1750 for 12 months. Program fee includes:
*3 meals a day
*Lodging
*Transportation from San José to your community
*Teaching Materials
*A 5 day intensive orientation program
*Ongoing support from the Program Coordinator
*1 technical visit from the Educational Consultant and another from the Program Coordinator
*Mid-term meeting
*Volunteer visa
