Details: Job location: Astana, Kazakhstan
Brief overview: A tutor/governess is required to teach English and French to a 10 year old
girl, whose first language is Russian. The tuition would be for two hours per day: one
hour in English, and one hour in French. The governess will also be expected to organise
sports and cultural activities.
Candidate specification: The client would like a female candidate for their daughter. The
client hopes that the proposed tutor will become a part of the family, and a friend to their
daughter. A proficiency in English, French is mandatory with either French or English at a
native level. Russian an advantage. Furthermore, the candidate would need to be well-
presented, highly articulate and personable at all times.
The rate of remuneration for this position is extremely competitive. In addition, travel and
agreed expenses will be met by the client. The candidate would be well-looked after in all
respects, and there would also be frequent opportunity for international travel, with the
family.
Accommodation: The successful applicant will be provided with her own apartment in
Astana. In addition to the salary, the cost of travel, and agreed expenses, will also be met
by the client. Flights home will be also covered around three times a year.
Contract dates: September 2013-June 2014 with possible extension
The tuition will be residential and take place in the client’s home.

Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
