Three (3) Sales and Marketing personnel needed to start on October1st, 2013.
British International Institute, the largest private English school in Kurdistan, is looking for Native English Speakers only (UK, USA, Australia, Canada) to teach full-time in the modern city of Erbil (capital of Kurdistan) for general, conversational, 1-on-1, and Business English, as well as TOEIC preparation. Kurdistan is an extremely safe and pro-western section of Northern Iraq. The regional government is secular and the people are more liberal than the rest of the Middle East
.
Teaching hours are up to 35 hours per week (lessons are already planned); sales and marketing positions are 40 hours per week. Morning and afternoon work shifts available. Contracts are for one year (12 months). The faculty primarily consists of native English speaking female foreigners. The school is brand new (16 classrooms, computer center, teachers’ lounge and auditorium) and is located on an entire floor that is adjacent to the Royal Mall. There is a food court in the mall with Western, Chinese, Indian, Turkish and local cuisine.
The school also owns a radio station and some work may involve participating in the various English language programming. Sales and marketing will also participate in radio administration.
Requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree, preferably in English or Education; master’s in these fields preferred
• An internationally recognized TESOL certification, preferably CELTA or DELTA
• Prefer two or more years of experience teaching ESL
• TOEIC training experience is highly desirable
• For those applying for the sales and marketing positions, we prefer those with a marketing (or related) degree and at least two years experience in sales or marketing
Package:
• One year renewable contract; visa expenses covered
• Private room in a shared, fully-furnished, new house with washing machine – 10 minutes from the Institute and 3 minutes from Majidi Mall; all utilities, including internet, paid by school; personal television and mini-fridge in every bedroom; live-in maid cleans and washes; recreational terrace; houses are only one gender
• Salary is $2000 USD (net, tax-free), modifications made depending on relevant experience and qualifications; additional projects for more compensation may become available
• Three weeks of paid vacation, after the first six months, in coordination with the school; all national and religious holidays observed
• Round-trip flight reimbursement paid upon completion of the one-year contract
