Salary: $4,740 USD
Details: The successful candidates will be responsible to design and implement an ongoing training programme, model good teaching practices, create education resources and, offer mentoring support in conducting research. The candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with the English department staff conducting training and research at the Institutes of Teacher Education in Malaysia.
The successful candidates will:
• Be native speakers of English
• Have a PhD or MA/MEd in a relevant field in English language education
• Possess excellent communication skills and able to work in a cross cultural environment in an Institute
of Teacher Education.
• Be positive, enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a high level of personal integrity
• Have at least five years of relevant experience in teacher education, mentoring and coaching
• Have been involved in school or institute based professional development (planning and
implementation)
• Have expertise in one or more of the following specialization (backed up by publications and
international conference presentations):-
o Assessment
o Language Arts
o Education Research
o Early Childhood Literacy
o Special Education Needs
o Higher Order Thinking Skills
o Contemporary Children’s Literature
o On-line Course Design / E-Learning

Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
2. Paid winter and summer vacations
3. Contract-end bonus
