Details: General Description:
The successful candidate will initially teach from among Learning and Communicating through Technologies, MS Office, Networking, Visual Basic Programming, Web Page Design, and PC Repair and Maintenance. There are also opportunities to develop and shape new courses and certificates in areas of expertise.
Duties and Responsibilities may include:
• Teaching at least 12 credits per semester
• Providing services in support of the creation and evaluation of Technology Certificates among the areas of Hardware and Software Support, Networking, Web Technologies, and Microcomputer Applications
• Designing, implementing and helping with faculty mentoring for professional development
• Student advising
• Assisting in the implementation of department plans for the attainment of department goals
• Community service in areas of expertise
• Participation in on-going assessment and alignment of courses/programs and services
• Opportunity to do research
Requirements :
Minimum Qualifications:
Possess a Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Systems
Engineering. Information Science, Educational Technology or other closely related Master’s Degree.
Preferred Qualification
Preference will be given to candidates with:
• Two or more years teaching experience that incorporates best practices in the classroom.
• Recent experience in the field
• International teaching experience
Salary and Benefits Offered at the College of the Marshall Islands:
Compensation:
USD $25,137 to $33,515. Salary placement is depending upon relevant education, training and experience.
Benefits:
Two-years initial contract
Transportation from the point of hire to the Marshall Islands
Moving allowance of $2,000
Up to $9,000 annual housing allowance

1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
