Yonsei ELP Full-time Instructor, May

Details: Yonsei ELP English Education Center is looking for a full-time instructors to fill positions in 2021. We currently have a faculty of eight native English-speaking teachers. The position starts teaching from May 2014.
Yonsei ELP is an English language Education center established under the patronage of Yonsei University Foundation and the Yonsei Wonju English Education Center at Wonju. Our mission is to provide quality English education to the regional community of Wonju, especially to the children, in a nurturing and child-centered learning environment based on the principles of care and service. We want dedicated, caring and sincere teachers to work at our school, those who love teaching and consider teaching as a profession.
* Yonsei ELP is an independent language academy, and it is run by Yonsei
Foundation like Yonsei university. It is not a part of Yonsei University.
Wonju is located near Seoul(one and a half hours by bus from Seoul) and you can easily access the beautiful mountains and the East sea in Gangwon area.
Education/experience requirements for all positions:
1. Native speakers of English with B.A. degree or higher
2. Education(early childhood, primary or secondary major) or/and TEFL, TESOL certificate or higher preferred
3. Minimum one year of experience teaching children (K – Grade 9) a must, Teaching experiences with Korean students preferred
4. Preference will be also given to teachers moving within Korea.
Salary/benefits with an annual contract:
1. A salary for teaching(depending on teaching experience and qualifications).
2. Housing: A furnished one room studio-type for single
3. Round-trip airfare if recruited from abroad.
4. Medical insurance.
5. Severance pay
Working conditions:
1. Max. 28 teaching hours (40-60 minutes lesson per class hour) weekly
2. Regular Classes between 3:00pm – 11:10pm / Monday - Friday, no Saturdays and Sundays, and no split shifts except for overtime hours. As an exception, if there is an event to do with the Center on Saturday, the instructor can be called on to work for the event no more than once per term(one term: 12 weeks).
3. Three week paid vacation in addition to all national holidays
(One week in summer, two weeks in winter,)
4. Four-day paid sick leave per contract period(with a doctor’s proof).
5. Overtime possible
6. Class size – maximum 8-12 students, classrooms are equipped with a computer and a projector
7. Age/level of students – from pre-school (age 4) to K12 (Primary and secondary) as well as adult conversation courses

Ⅱ. Positions Available
Senior High School (Grade 10-12)
- AP/A-level Biology Teacher

Primary School (Grade 1-5)
- PYP Homeroom Teacher(UOI & ESL)

Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.

Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.

Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
