1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.

Applications are invited from qualified teachers for four positions in a large and very well
equipped International School in Shanghai. Shang Yin Campus, part of a much larger
Shanghai United International School (SUIS), will in August 2016 enroll an additional 100
students for approximately 650 children, Kindergarten to Grade 5.
Successful applicants will join a staff of 35 Western teachers and 29 Chinese teachers.
Shang Yin Campus is a private, international day and boarding school based on the
International Primary Curriculum (IPC). Shang Yin provides an opportunity for boys and
girls ages 5 to12 (up to grade 5) to receive a high level international education. We
combine the best of Chinese and Western teaching and learning approaches and our
bilingual education provides all students with the highest English and Chinese language
proficiency as well as an understanding of global cultures. Instruction in all subjects,
except Chinese language, is in English. Mathematics is taught in Chinese and English.
We pride ourselves on being part of the local community, and we aim to provide our
students with high-grade educational components including: an English-rich, bilingual,
truly international curriculum through our IPC, Chinese (Mandarin) language, and a
strong “East meets West” Mathematics program. French and Japanese are third
language options.
Shanghai is one of the most exciting and safe places in which to live. There is a wealth of
opportunities for sightseeing, culture, sports and culinary experiences of all kinds. Travel
is cheap within China and to other Asian countries.
Class sizes are set at 25 students. Each class is taught by both a Western teacher and a
Chinese teacher who share teaching responsibilities. The Western teacher teaches all
subjects except for Chinese language. Mathematics is taught in Chinese with English
support.
Salary is based on experience and qualifications.
