Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance

Details: Metropolitan International School, Viernheim requires a full time House Parent
for their new Boarding House opening in Summer 2014. The new boarding
house, which will at first cater for a maximum of 12 to 14 students aged
between 4 and 16 years old, is only minutes from the school and will offer day
and full board facilities for all students.
The House Parent will be organized, sensitive, flexible and willing to go the extra
mile for our students, their happiness and their wellbeing. It is essential that
they provide a fun, caring and positive environment for students whilst at the
same time showing strong leadership skills, commitment to student welfare and
clear discipline with regards to homework, school attendance and cleanliness of
student rooms. The chosen person must be energetic, innovative, trustworthy,
approachable and able to give impartial support and advice. They will promote
time management develop confidence and self efficiency for the boarders as well
as teaching them valuable skills for life, manners and etiquette. They will have
full overview of the Boarding House.
Responsibilities include:
Planning and overseeing the schedule for students and other staff in the
boarding house.
Organizing and leading a team
Supervising and arranging a wide range of activities and outings
Ensuring lessons are attended and homework is completed
Ensuring living and hygiene standards are maintained
Promoting the development of students
Monitoring wellbeing and behaviour
Domestic duties and meal preparation
Applications are welcome from those qualified in professional areas such as child
care, social work, education, counseling or psychotherapy as well as from those
who are first aid trained or willing to be. Applicants must have a good
understanding of pastoral care and be able to lead and implement a skilled team.
