Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;

Shanghai Oriental Ladder Bilingual School, founded in 1993, is approved by the Shanghai
Municipal Education Commission as a privately owned elementary and middle school invested by
the Ladder Group. The purpose is to provide an international environment to the students, educate
young minds and make it easier for the students to adapt to different cultures in the future, to not
only learn English as a foreign language, but use it as a tool to develop international
communication skills.
Job summary:
• The teacher is required to work according to the timetable of the school from Monday to Friday
each week (except for public holidays) from 07:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with one hour lunch break from
11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• The teacher is required to work 40 hours a week, including teaching 30 - 35 class sessions,
lesson planning,PTA meetings,and other assigned administrative duties.
• The teacher is required to teach a class of no more than 30 students per class, whose ages range
from six to fifteen.

• Must be 21 - 50 years old.

• A Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (Education/English major) or higher.
