Common Core Curriculum Coordinator

Details: Responsibilities:
* Develop and coordinate the implementation of the Common Core Standards, including the use of instructional technology, with input from all stakeholders
* Facilitate professional learning opportunities designed to increase teachers’ knowledge of the Common Core Standards and the related instructional shifts and promote the acquisition of instructional practices related to AERO CCPlus
* Oversee the educational technology program of the school including acquisition and usage for appropriate technology equipment
* Work with teachers and administrators to determine technology needs for improved instruction
* Work with the Technology Instructional Specialist in developing and providing training opportunities for teachers and administrators on the integration of technology across the curriculum to assist in the teaching of the Common Core Standards
* Collaborate with Instructional Specialists to provide ongoing support to teachers in their learning and application of instructional practices related to the Common Core
* Collaborate with Instructional Coaches and Assessment , Technology Leads to provide ongoing support to teachers in integrating technology across the curriculum
* Report to the Superintendent and Principals regarding benchmarks, instructional management data , progress toward meeting accountability targets.
* Assist with the training and development of instructional personnel to ensure the necessary skill sets are obtained to create new assessments and report cards aligned to US and national assessment initiatives
*Work with Kalboard360 and Measure of Academic Progress (MAPs) l to facilitate ease of access
* Assist with the development and coordination of new and revised curriculum as it relates to the implementation of the Common Core Standards
* Facilitate curriculum development centered on aligning instructional materials with the school’s transition to the Common Core
* Work with administrators and teachers using assessments, student work, and other data to analyze current practice and identify areas for improving and aligning curriculum and assessments
* Plan, organize, administer, and provides leadership for a comprehensive system of testing and assessment related to the requirement of accreditation bodies and local mandates focusing on high standards of student achievement
* Oversee all assessment and student achievement demographics including data related to Standardized CC Assessments, MAP, and other mandated assessments
* Develop and deliver workshops for the purpose of facilitating proper) test administration, interpretation and utilization.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS , ABILITIES
• Demonstrated commitment to students and learning
• Demonstrated deep understanding of AERO Common Core Plus Standards
• In-depth experience developing teachers
• Strong experience in performance assessment (Preferably with MAP)
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly and persuasively
• Excellent organization, time management and follow-up skills; high sense of urgency; demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple projects concurrently; ability to work as a team
• Highly adaptable, able to be effective and maintain composure in fast pace and stressful environments
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of:
• AERO Common Core Plus
• Assessment, standards, and curriculum
• Culture, life styles, and educational and social needs of ethnic and multiple cultures
• Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
• Management principles and practices including organization, supervision and training
• Oral and written communication skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor or Masters in Education with Teacher Certification
• A minimum of five years teaching experience required
• A strong background in effective implementation of professional development and content expertise in one or more subject areas required
Terms of employment:
An attractive tax-free contract offered with a salary ranging between $2,000-$3,000 monthly depending on experience and qualifications, including furnished single accommodation, airfares, and end-of-contract indemnity.

Senior High School (Grade 10-12)

Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.

Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
