Details: The Zakho British International School opened its doors on October 12, 2014. New Zakho is a compound city which was a $600 million investment to house up to 4,000 families. In the future, it will have all the luxuries of a big city in one area. We are supposed to have a Hardees, KFC, and TGI Friday’s. We will have segregated beauty salons as well as gyms and swimming pools. There will be quaint little shops and markets within walking distance to get your groceries. In the next 1-2 years it will have its own State of the Art in Technology-Medical Center and provide a home to a 5-Star Hotel. All residents of this compound are secured by 24-hour security in three different locations.
We are looking to appoint two or possibly more trained Early Years or Primary All Subject Teachers immediately, as enrollment continues to climb, or from January 2021, and Fall 2020 to join our team of committed professionals. If you would like to live and work in a mountainous area with a city and small village towns nearby, and are an “outdoorsy” type of person, you would enjoy New Zakho.

• Be fully qualified teachers
• Be able to demonstrate a proven track record of working in an ”outstanding” School environment

• Be able to deliver outstanding learning and teaching
• Be a vital part of a thriving teaching team to promote the school to parents and the wider community
• Report to parents on the development, progress and attainment of students.
You should have a minimum of two years or QTS or equivalent to apply. Additionally, you must hold a Bachelor of Education or Psychology Degree and a PGCE / PGDE or equivalent. (Native English Teachers have a huge advantage!)

1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
2. Paid winter and summer vacations
