Fields of Expertise: Math/Physics , Pure Maths, Mechanics, Statistics, Decision Maths
Salary: ¥20,000 CNY
This is a full time, temporary position for one year, commencing 25 July 2015. Successful applicants must have relevant experience in teaching to A Level standard. At A level the area offers Pure Maths, Mechanics, Statistics and Decision Maths. The salary will be according to qualifications and experience (RMB15,000 – RMB20,000 per month). Benefits include free accommodation, meals allowance and flight allowance.
Key accountabilities and tasks:
- establish an effective and appropriate working relationship with students and ensure they produce as high standard of work as possible
- ensure that effective induction is provided for students, in order to promote their successful progression from school
- regularly monitor the performance and progress of students and take prompt and appropriate action when necessary
- provide well-planned and effective lessons, consistent with the curriculum area’s schemes of work
- use appropriate and varied teaching methodologies, suitable for the range of ability of the students, including strategies which promote effective learning and students’ ability to study independently
- make effective use of the resources available to the curriculum area
- set, mark and return appropriate amounts of homework
- devise and use efficient assessment techniques
- maintain full and up-to-date records in the format required
Beacon College works in partnership with Chinese middle schools to deliver IGCSE and A Level education. The aim of this programme is to educate students with aspirations to progress to universities in the UK.

Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
2. Paid winter and summer vacations
