Details: Who are we?
The Verbaledu Intercultural Project (VIP China) is run by the National Oral English
Teaching
& Research Bureau. We are the only Education Institution authorized by the Chinese
education system to place intern positions working as English teachers in China. We are
located in Beijing, China. Our mission is to advance the English communication skills of
middle school students throughout China. Established in 2007, VIP China has used an
abundant of resources to help over 3000 foreign teachers find placements in schools
throughout China, as well as developing and maintaining relationships with over 1000
schools. We have collaborated with Peking University, Beijing Normal University,
Shandong
Heze University, Huangshan University etc. to keep improving our resources such as
teaching curriculum.
Who are you?
You are an enthusiastic,fluent English speaker, able to speak clearly and project your
voice,
able to listen, able to control a class of 50 well behaved but sometimes over excited and
noisy students, able to give and to receive.
Who are your students?
Generally, there are three categories of teacher assistant placement:
Kindergarten 4-6
Primary 6- 12
Junior high school 12 -15
Senior high school 15 - 18
The students typically have good theoretical knowledge of the English language but need
to
improve their spoken English.

communication with students every week. You are free to take
part in all kinds of Chinese traditional activities,like
learning Chinese,studying Chinese Kongfu, painting,even playing

Where will you teach?
VIP China offers a greater choice of school locations, more than any other comparable
agency, ranging from remote villages to bustling urban centers. In some cases, you will
be the first foreigner that the students have ever seen! Perhaps Shandong, Jiangxi,
Henan,Hebei Shanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Hunan,Hubei,Jilin, Sichuan, Yunnan, or Guizhou
appeals to you.
Schools in China will vary greatly as they do in all education systems. Schools are
usually large, with between 2,000 and 5,000 students.
The schools are a mixture of government schools and private schools.Some are
international foreign language schools.They can be primary only; secondary only or K-12
schools (Kindergarten to Year 12).
Many of the schools have foreign teachers and programs, but there are schools in China
that are new to having foreign teachers. You will be placed with at least one other Teach
&
Travel participant in the school (either from your program intake or a current participant in
his/her second semester).

arrange an interview via Skype. There will be two rounds of interview for each candidate.
Qualifications:
• BA/BS (or equivalent) obtained
• Native English Speaker preferred.. Nationalities of Poland, Germany, Spain, the
Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland,
Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal and Italy are welcome
• Aged 22 to 55
• No criminal record
• TEFL certificate holder is preferred
