American-Balboa City School Hiring Primary, Middle and High School Teachers for
China

Balboa City School is looking for High School, Junior High and Primary School teachers
in our various China locations for our August/September 2016 starts.

The cities include Quanzhou, Dongguan and more.

Teach US accredited courses to Chinese High School, Junior High and/or Primary
students, including Introduction to English Literature, World Literature, American
Literature, British Literature, Composition, Economics, American Government, US
History and Primary level courses for primary students.

Teachers are expected to utilize standard US curriculum, textbooks as well as classroom
PowerPoint presentations. Teachers are expected to grade and keep detailed grade
records for all students. Teachers will also participate in weekly teacher meetings,
conference calls with Balboa City School, Chinese High School functions, student
activities and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications -Teachers with a Bachelors degree, Prefer Bachelors degree in teaching or
related topics to subjects taught: Literature, English, History or related degrees; Prefer
TEFL Teaching Certificate and experience teaching nonnative speakers. Native English
teachers preferred. Positive, upbeat attitude and motivation to help Chinese students
successfully prepare for an American University education. Looking for teachers with a
desire to live and work in China and experience its amazing culture.

Salary and Benefits-

Middle and High School Teachers- Above average salary of 14,000 to 20,000 RMB+ for
Middle and High School teachers dependent on the candidate’s credentials and
experience and type of position. Salary is paid on a monthly basis on the 15th of month.
Health insurance and flight and travel reimbursement included. All major Chinese
Holidays and 3-4 week paid semester break between fall and Spring Semester. One
week paid holiday in October. Single apartment. No more than 25 hours per week of
teaching and office hours in most cases.

Primary Teachers- 9,000 to 12,000+RMB for Primary School teachers dependent on the
candidates credentials and experience with between 15 to 18 hours each week of
teaching and office hours. Salary is paid on a monthly basis on the 15th of month. Health
insurance, flight and travel reimbursement included. All major Chinese Holidays and 3-4
week paid semester break between fall and Spring Semester. One week paid holiday in
October. Single apartment.
