Details: N.I.E.C. Tachileik is looking for experienced teachers to come and join our team:
The new school year begins in May and we are seeking teachers for English, Science, Maths,
Business Studies and Accounts from Primary 4 till Seconday level , Nursery ,Kindergarten and ESL
teachers. Native speakers are preferred and only in exceptional cases we will accept non-native
speakers. If you are a capable teacher and have a specialty in any area (Culinary Arts, Industrial
Education, Film Studies, Social Studies, Career Development, Health Education, Music, Drama or
Fine Arts), we encourage you to apply. With an outstanding teacher who has a specific set of skills
they will be encouraged to come and excel these areas as much as they can.
About Tachileik and NIEC
Tachileik is located on the Myanmar side of the Thailand – Myanmar border. This small border city
is a big attraction for tourists travelling in Thailand and want to say they’ve been to Myanmar. Its
major features are the Tachileik Shwedagon Pagoda and the lovely mountains surrounding the city.
It has many small shops, restaurants and an outdoor swimming pool! The area is known as the
“Golden Triangle” with nearby borders to Thailand, Myanmar and Laos.
Nelson International Education Centre (N.I.E.C.) Tachileik is a new school, opening in 2014, with
the potential of becoming one of the top schools in Myanmar, Thailand and China. Right now the
school is fairly small, offering one class at each level from Pre-Nursery to Secondary 2 but as
interest in the school grows and student enrollment increases we will be offering multiple classes at
each level.
The school boasts a fully equipped computer lab; a well-stocked library; a projector/movie room; a
football stadium; basketball court; and a cafeteria for student lunches.
The school offers a wide variety of courses based on the International Cambridge University
Curriculum. All classes are taught in English (with the exception of Myanmar and Music).

-Qualification Pre/Primary and Secondary level : Bachelor degree required. Master degree
preferred
-Experience : Minimum 2 years and above
-Probation period : 3 months
-Starting salary Bachelor degree (B.Ed preferred) Master Degree (M.Ed preferred) : 42000 THB
(Native speaker)
After probation, salary shall be raised according to performance, qualification and experience.
-Contract term : May till March
-Subjects Specialized to teach : English, Maths and Science, Business Studies and
Accounting.
-Pre-school requirements : AMI/ Montessori qualified or equivalent degree

Full Time Native Speakers required to teach ESL classes. Bachelor/ Master Degree preferably in
English is the requirement to teach our ESL students. Should have more than 5 years of teaching
experience.

- Qualification ESL : Bachelor degree required. Master degree preferred (Additional certification is
a plus point)
- Experience : 5 years and above
-Probation period : 3 months
-Starting salary Bachelor degree /Master Degree : 42000 THB (Native speaker) 35000 (Non Native
speaker)
Salary shall be raised according to qualification, experience and performance.
Contract term May till March
Facilities provided by school :
-Accommodation with attached bath and kitchen with basic furniture : Provided -Rent
: 5000 THB
-Transport : Pick and drop by school van
