Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance

Details: Global Yangon School is a preschool (Age :2.5- 5 years old) founded on June 2017. We will be
opening our third campus on June 4th 2018 and we are now recruiting a Head of School to lead our
school.
The Head of the School will work closely with, and report directly to the Board of Directors. The
Head of School will tend to the issues that concern the school as a whole and will facilitate
communication, building consensus among the teachers, the staff, families, and Board. The Head
of School should have a larger vision for the future direction of the school while continuing to
support and encourage the preservation of the mission/vision/values philosophy throughout the
school.
Job Description:
• Articulating, marketing, and roll-out of program;
• Hiring and ”onboarding” of all faculty, staff, and leadership team members;
• Applying the admissions criteria and financial aid policies in enrolling the student body;
• Assist in the establishing and Interpreting of the mission/vision/values statement and
operationalizing it;
• Developing the relationship and culture of the board and its interface with the school’s leadership
team;
• Telling the ”origins story” of the school to prospective families and donors;
• Initially develop curricula and program elements that reflect the school’s mission/vision/values
statement.
• Developing a school culture inherently reflecting the school’s values and establishing a learning
culture for all member of the community.
• Developing, nurturing, a positive, involved, ongoing interactive relationship with parent community
• Training and mentoring leadership team members, local teachers and assistant teachers
CHARACTERISTICS OF NEW HEAD
Aside from an eagerness to work and live in Yangon, Myanmar, the ideal candidate would have the
following attributes:
• An ingratiating personality of openness, curiosity about others, empathy for the day-to-day
challenges and delight for the epiphanies of children, parents, and school faculty and staff
• Impressive communication skills, in writing and public speaking
• Experience or hiring for experience in all elements of the school leadership: financial acumen;
fund-raising; cultivation of the various • constituencies; evaluation and management of the faculty
and staff; marketing and messaging; and educational vision, especially in pedagogy, assessment,
technology, and the big shifts in education centered around these elements.
• Interest in leading and articulating the essence of an innovative school and advocating in the
internal and external communities its advantages.
• A leadership style that is collaborative, goal-oriented, and visionary.
• Experience in working with boards to achieve a school’s strategic objectives.
• Connectedness of one who knows and loves and challenges adolescents by his or her character,
messages, and ”on the ground” presence in the life of the school.
• Valid teaching Certificate ( preferably a degree in Early Childhood Education )
