Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
2. Paid winter and summer vacations
3. Contract-end bonus

Details: Come teach in beautiful Nablus, Palestine. Modern English School, a premier private English
school, is seeking 4-8 grade teachers to teach science, math, and English subjects.
These classes seek to build on foundational skills of English using content integrated teaching
techniques to advance students’ skills. Experience is preferred but not necessary. The desired
candidate will be flexible, energetic, positive and strong in cross-cultural classroom management.
We hope to help students develop a love for English language learning through a holistic approach
to teaching. Experience working in Palestine or in TEFL classroom preferred. It is important that
the candidate understand the culture in which they are living in and appreciate cultural norms and
differences. We are seeking someone to bring with them experience in classroom teaching with
positive, student-centered methods. Teachers will develop interactive lesson plans based on the
curriculum. Teachers are expected to work 40 hours per week from 7:00am – 3:00pm. Teachers
will teach between 18-24 classes per week.
About the School
Modern English School was started 7 years ago as a kindergarten and has grown with its students.
Each year we are adding on one class year with a majority of our students moving forward, as well
as gaining new students. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive English school from Kindergarten
to Grade 12. We are in the process of building a brand new school for all grades. The
administration is supportive and flexible to ideas of motivated teachers.
About Nablus
Nablus is 60 km north of Jerusalem and is one of the largest cities in the West Bank. Due to this
Nablus has a big city feel with the charm of the history of the Old City and many historic sites.
Nablus has a conservative culture and is very welcoming to foreigners. The people of Nablus
embrace education and are excited to share the beautiful food and culture of Palestine with visitors
from all over the World. Nablus was one of the hardest hit during the Second Intifada but is thriving
and expanding. The cost of living in affordable compared with the wage that we are offering.
What We Offer:

One-year work visa in Palestine (MES pays fees)
