Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance

Details: We are seeking an enthusiastic secondary English as a Second Language teacher for a brand-new program opening in a prestigious secondary school in Yiwu, China. The program is a 2 + 1 China-Canada program where students study for Grades 10 & 11 at Yiwu and then move to Canada (Toronto area, Canada) for their final year of high school and advance to post-secondary
studies in Canada or the US.
Yiwu High School is a private high school located on a closed campus in the beautiful city of Yiwu. The campus covers an area of 200 thousand square meters and it has recently undergone a major addition to provide state-of-the-art classrooms and labs for students and staff. The school fosters creative critical thinkers who are rooted in China and prepared to lead in the global community. The school is a very high-performing school with administration and staff who
understand the importance of global thinking and global solutions.
To this end, Yiwu High School is starting a revolutionary 2 + 1 program where students will attend Grades 10 & 11 in China and their final year of high school in the Peel District School Board in the Great Toronto Area (GTA). Graduates will receive an Ontario high school diploma and will continue to post-secondary studies in Canada or the US.
The successful candidate will teach secondary ESL (English as a Second Language) at the Grade 10 & 11 level with the understanding that students will transition to a North American style of teaching and a curriculum from the Province of Ontario, Canada. (S)he will teach up to 20 hours
per week in 45 minute classes. In addition, the successful candidate will spend 20 hours of office time each week.
Candidates must possess a strong enthusiasm for teaching and learning and hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher along with a teaching certificate and/or TESOL/TESL/TEFL certificate.
Compensation package includes a base salary of 18,000 RMB/month (after tax) plus a free teacher apartment (successful candidate must pay minor electricity & water costs), free food when students are on campus, free medical insurance, free round-trip airfare and paid vacations.
This job will appeal to a teacher who is comfortable with the ESL subject matter and who wishes to develop the program from the ground up - working in partnership with the International Division of the school.
