Joy International School is a K-12 bilingual school for Chinese students which was established in 2018 in Huai’an, Jiangsu. Joy International High School maintains a sister-school relationship with Rockford Christian High School in Rockford, Illinois, and grades 10-12 offer a legitimate American curriculum oriented towards the SAT and Advanced Placement courses. An English-language transition program is provided for students in Grade 9 who need the proficiency to be able to attend American courses taught by American content experts.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- No more than 20 teaching periods (40-minute periods) per week, average 15 periods.
- Teachers are expected to design and implement daily lessons aligned with curriculum learning objectives, as well as design quizzes, tests, and/or any other assessments.
- Provide help to students during mid-day breaks and evening study time to establish solid working relationships between students and teachers.
- Grade and keep accurate records of student work. Provide individual feedback to students and parents.
- Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and student activities. We welcome candidates who are interested in starting any extra-curricular activities for students to resemble a “real” American learning context.
- In Primary/Middle school, ESL teachers will be provided with a bilingual Teaching Assistant.
- In High School, content teachers will be expected to design and develop curriculum that aligns with AP and American college-level content in their respective disciplines.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Native English Speaker
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
- Minimum 2 Years Professional Teaching Experience
- Teaching Certification/License with Endorsements in Content Area
- Familiarity with AP Program Standards
- Preferred Certification or Background in Teaching English Language Learners
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
- 15,000 RMB - 28,000 RMB Monthly Salary
- 12-Month or 24-Month Contracts

Senior High School (Grade 10-12)
- AP/A-level Biology Teacher

Primary School (Grade 1-5)
- PYP Homeroom Teacher(UOI & ESL)

Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.

Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.

Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
