The Caledonia School of English is a prestigious English Language Centre (since 1993) and Premium Cambridge English School on the south-west Spanish coast.
TEACHER PROFILE
We have a new position available for a dynamic teacher to complete our teaching team for this academic year. Applicants must be university graduates with either a TEFL or PGCE qualification. We only value positive-thinking professionals and experience is less important than having good, all-round qualifications and a strong commitment to teaching.
THE JOB
Teaching hours are either 21 or 24 per week (optional) and there is no weekend teaching. Classes are face-to-face with small groups of young learners and teenagers up to C1 level.
FACILITIES
Our classrooms are extremely spacious with natural light and fitted with high-quality interactive whiteboards, fast internet and excellent sound equipment. Our library is well-stocked with a wide variety of support materials, text books and the latest digital resources. Our school will provide you with good support and a sound career platform.
LOCATION
Our location, at the very door to the Atlantic Ocean and opposite Doñana National Park, Europe’s Nº1 Nature Reserve, together with our moderate climate, and the highest sunlight hours in Europe, should be added attractions for many teachers. Please also note that living costs are low compared to most areas of Spain and good, furnished and affordable accommodation is plentiful.
CONDITIONS
Travel costs from other areas of Spain or from Ireland and/or the U.K. will be reimbursed by the school and complimentary hotel accommodation provided on arrival and during the first few days. We will also help you to find suitable, longer-term accommodation in the town.
Guaranteed Base Salary: 1,310 (21 hrs/w); 1,500 Euros (24 hrs/w)
All main Social Security contributions are fully covered by the School.
Deduction 1: 6.4% Social Security (employee portion)
Deduction 2: c. 2%-5% Income Tax (depending on other incomes)
A substantial additional payment will be received on contract completion in addition to your June salary.
Initial contract period: October 2022 - 30th June 2023. A longer-term contract will be available with optional summer course.
Holidays: 15 days at Christmas & New Year, 1 week at Easter, three days of municipal/local holidays plus all other provincial, regional and national holidays. All holidays are fully paid for by the school.
Travel costs will be reimbursed and the School courteously offers good hotel accommodation to appointed teachers on arrival and during the first few days.
We offer an attractive Monday-Friday timetable, on-going training and excellent working conditions.

Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.
Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.
Ⅴ. Compensation & Benefits
1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
