Burao Academy of Science and Technology Overview:
The school is an independent, non-profit, coeducational, boarding school serving grades 7 through 12 and offering comprehensive education with special focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) as well as practical career training in the technical field. Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree or higher
 Experience teaching, lesson planning or supervising children in an education setting
 Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
 Ability to adapt to change and be flexible
 Strong subject-matter expertise
Mathematics Teacher Requirements:
 + Certification strongly preferred
 Teach grades 11 and 12 mathematics (algebra II and precalculus)
 2+ Years of hands-on experience with Khan Academy
 The ability to effectively use technological tools and resources for teaching.
 Ability to resolve basic / complex problems as directed
 English language proficiency required
 Computer-building background experience preferred
 Technological Literacy
Responsibilities:
 Reinforce materials taught in the classroom
 Teach approximately 24 lessons (45 minutes each) in-person per week
 Be available for students office hours one hour per week
 Supervise study hall one hour per week
 Prepare lesson plans, create student assessments and record grades in Gradelink, school management database
 Lead areas of interest after school students club
Timeline: We are seeking a minimum commitment to complete the Burao Academy 2023-2024 academic year ending June of 2024. Start Date: January 5, 2024

Senior High School (Grade 10-12)

Primary School (Grade 1-5)
- PYP Homeroom Teacher(UOI & ESL)

Ⅲ. Job Description
1. Working Hours: Monday to Friday on a semester basis;
2. Teaching Hours: 22 teaching periods per week;
3. Average Class Size: 20-25;
4. Give Lessons including planning and preparation as well as course development;
5. Conduct course assessment and student academic counseling.

Ⅳ. Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above in education or related majors;
2. Native English speaker or English skills equivalent to native level;
3. At least three years teaching experience;
4. Teaching Certificate, PGCE,QTS or equivalent is preferred;
5. Caring, suitable and safe to work with children.

1. Monthly salary before tax: RMB 28,000 - 40,000 plus housing allowance
