Details: A private language center in Amman, Jordan is looking to recruit a Director of Studies. Duties for this post include conducting in-house teacher development sessions, lesson observations, overall management of the teaching staff of 30 and recruiting new staff. The ideal candidate should have full mastery of English across all four skills to CEFR C2/IELTS Band 9, be Delta-qualified, have previous experience in academic management and teacher-training in a similar type of school.

Working environment
The Ali Baba International Center is a well know teacher of English, Arabic and German in Jordan. The school was founded in 2005 and it is located directly across from the main gate of the University of Jordan. This center is accredited by the University of Jordan and in the final stages of affiliation with a renowned international language organization. Jordan is by far the most stable country in the region, with multicultural and hospitable citizens who are eager to learn from those from different cultures. The Director of Studies will be working with a support staff and team of newly certified teachers who have just completed 120 hours of teacher training with observations. Our modern center is located on two floors of a business building with a café, study area and separate office facilities.
Qualifications
Our minimum requirement for this position is the Cambridge DELTA teaching certification or equivalent. The ideal candidates will have previous academic management experience, excellent communication skills and be passionate about teaching effectively as well as showing a willingness to try out new classroom activities and share their own ideas with their colleagues. Those with Arabic speaking skills is a plus.

Compensation
